Question: Thyroid question - bothering me!!?
Ok!.!.!.so I was diagnosed with hypothyroid in February!. I started off on Levothyroxine at 75 mcg!. After 6 wks when I went back, the endocronologist said that the levels had dropped from 6!.5 to about 1!.4 and that I should continue on 75 mcg!. A month later when I went to my RE, she told me that my levels had gone really low and that now I had hyperthyroid! She reduced my dosage to 50 mcg!. I tested after 6 wks and it showed some improvement and we reduced to 25 mcg!. This time however, my levels went high again! It was yet again 6!.5 (TSH)!.
Since earlier 50 mcg proved too much and now 25 mcg is less, my RE asked me to take 37!.5!. However after another 6 wks when I tested, I am still at 6!.4! Absolutely no effect of the dosage that I'm taking right now!. She has now asked me to continue on the same dosage, except that weekly twice I should double the dosage!.
It's now 7 months and my levels have not yet stabilized!.
Did anyone have a similar experience and do any of you have any suggestions!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am hyperthyroid and it took me SEVERAL months to get my meds right!. My mother is hypothyroid and she ended up varying her dosage every other day to find a happy medium!. It just takes time!. Don't get frustrated!. You'll feel so much better when everything levels out!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes there always changing my thyroid medicine its either too much or too little it really baffles me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
