Odd scar after mole removal?

I had a small mole shaved from my arm. The doctor didn't use stitches or anything, just a good old band-aid. So right after the procedure I got a relatively flat scab and after about 12mos it still looks exactly the same. People always ask me what happened to my arm because it looks like a scab and then they're always very surprised to hear it's a scar. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Or what I can do to make the scar be less noticeable? Thanks!

Recently, I had a cyst removed from my arm. The dermotologist perscribed Curad Scar Therapy Pads. You put it on and then put a band aid on, and it works wonders. You can get them basically anywhere. It basically makes it so it lightens and flattens and somtimes will almost go completely away. Good luck!!!!!!!
