Question: Teen going on Accutane!.!.!.!.!?
I've had serious acne since the 3rd grade (I'm in 7th now) and it's kinda ruining my life!. I've tried almost everything, so now my mom's making me go on accutane!. So my questions: Have you used it!? Did it work!? How long did it take for results!? I'm almost 13, and I heard that you have to take a pregnancy test every month!. Is that true!? Will I have to even though I'm not sexually active!? Did it dry out your skin really badly!? And can you please give me more details on the side effects and how they affected you!. i just finishesd my last course of roaccutane, and its the best thing to use for acne!.
my face is totally clear, but i did get really dry skin, especially my lips to the point where they were so red and gross!.
so make sure you wear a good sunscreen when in the sun and u get a pregnancy test done only once before you start to use roaccutane!.
it took about 3-4 months for my skin to clear!.
their is alot of side effects to this, like depression, dryness, birth defects and you have to get blood tests often too just to make sure it doesn't affect your liver and kidneys!.
You can also get nosebleeds when using it,i didn't get it but everyone is different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was on accutane my senior year in high school for six months and it cleared my face up tremendously!. You will have to have a pregnancy test and blood drawn every month but they only took blood from me 3 months instead of the whole 6!. They only side effect I had was the very dry swollen lips w/blisters!. I just got a lower dosage of the accutane that was given to me and bought carmex to moisten my lips!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
