Self help for catarrh?!

Question:

Self help for catarrh?

Answers:

I have a remedy that works 100% for me, whenever I have a cold.
I will describe it, in case anyone wants to try it.

My remedy is fresh chicken soup and here is how I make it.

Pack of chicken wings with the skin on (usually 10-11 in the pack)
Some peeled medium sized potatoes (about 6 - 8)
Half pack frozen vegetables - about 450g (I hate peeling vegetables)
A clove of onions
A dash of vegetable oil - maybe 2 desertspoonfuls
Salt to taste
Cayenne Pepper to taste
Maybe some Oxo seasoning

Use a big pot. Boil the chicken wings in water with salt, chopped onions and seasoning. When half cooked, add the peeled potatoes. When the potatoes are almost done, add the frozen vegaetables and the vegetable oil, the cayenne pepper and some more water. The finished product should have a significant amount of water (fluids). Let it boil until the vegetables are done. Check the taste and if necessary, add more cayenne pepper to make sure it is hot enough to make your nose run.

Eat it at least twice a day (hence the big pot)
Each time you reheat the soup, heat the soup until it is pipping hot, before eating.

The remedies in this recipe are:
The cayenne makes your nose run, and it clears your blocked nose really fast, and gets rid of all that mucus.
The zinc in the chicken skin is known to be a very effective remedy for colds
The fluid in the chicken soup ensures you stay hydrated during your cold.
The other nutrients in the chicken, potatoes, vegetables help you recover.
The vegetable oil provides essential fatty acids
The salt ensures electrolyte balance in all that increased fluid intake.

The big pot of fresh chicken soup usually lasts me 2 days. By the time I finish it, my cold is completely gone.
Yes, completely gone!
It is the only thing I know that cures colds that fast.

I hope it works for you too.
If works for you, please let me know.
