Problem with my eye !?!?!?

I am having a problem with my right eye.About a week ago, I was gardening,cleaning out a hill of english ivy. I took precautions against poison ivy (long sleeve shirt, gloves, jeans, socks up over my jeans, laundered the clothes and showered immediately when finished working). However, I did get a small patch of poison ivy on the back of my upper right shoulder -- I figured something must have flown down the back of my shirt when I was working with the "weed-whacker". It's better W/ calamine+hydrocortisone lotion, & then I noticed my eye feeling itchy or gritty, thought it was dry due to contacts. Yesterday, it was much worse. Eye was bloodshot, lid puffy, light hurt my eye, felt like someone had poked me in my eye, and had a little crusty drainage. I did not put contacts back in & threw that pair away. Called the MD & given Tobrex drops yesterday. It's a little better today, I am not as light sesitive & it's not as sore.
Could I have poison ivy in my eye?

just do what your doctor says. you probably got a foreign substance in your eye, like a stray bit of leaf or something. dont wear your contacts for a while, and keep using the drops. if it doesnt feel better after 3 days, consult your doctor.
