i burnt my arm a few months ago. it seems like it is taking forever to heal. i know scars dont go away fully, but they can fade. will the redness of the scar go away?

As with any injury, including burns, it takes about a full year to heal all layers of the injury.
A stage of healing, known as "hyperemia" cause the area/skin to appear red due to the enriched supply of blood being routed to the area of healing: This is entirely normal.
Of course, scar tissue, can have additional complications if located over joints or skin folds and this could require therapy or minor surgery.
Hope this helps although healing and scar tissue formation are highly individual: After the burned area looses the glossy appearance, you may want to apply moisturizers and or Vitamin E containing creams, for optimal healing.
