Can Shingles occasionally cause someone to fall? ?!

Question: Can Shingles occasionally cause someone to fall!? !?
My poor mother developed a very bad case of the shingles a month ago!. Her lesions, which are around her ribs, are healing and better, but she is still in pain!. In addition, her legs sometimes become very weak and she falls!. My question is, are the shingles affecting the nerves in her legs and causing her to fall!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

My Grandmother is recovering from a recent bout of Shingles!. The Shingles itself caused great pain, but it was the medicine (I think it was Acyclovir, an anti-viral) that made her very weak and dizzy!. She frequently lost her balance and sometimes her knee or ankle would give out on her for no reason!. She was on the Acyclovir 5 xs a day for a month and a half, but now that she's off of it, she's much stronger!. Best wishes to your Mom for a speedy recovery!Www@Answer-Health@Com

CALL MOM'S DOCTOR BEFORE SHE FALLS AND BREAKS SOMETHING AND THEN SHE WILL NEED AN AMBULANCE!.

Shingles is a very painful form of herpes that can really throw them off balance!. It happens when your immune system is unable to protect you!. If your mom can't walk without falling, make her use a walker or better yet a wheelchair!. Yeah!.!.!. she won't like it!.
Has she seen her doctor recently!? Maybe now is a good time to call him/her!. This is a very serious thing for the elderly!.

I know what it feels like, I had a case when I was 12 years old!. The pain from the blisters was almost as bad as a real burn!. I stayed home from school for 3 weeks!. Most of the time I was in bed!. It was so bad, I've never forgotten it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
