Colds are contagious, This means you can catch one when you come into contact with germs!. You can easily get sick by walking through a space where someone has sneezed or more likely touching something that has germs on it (door handles, elevator buttons, atm machines, etc!.!.!.) and then touching your face (mouth / nose)!. Make sure you wash your hands with soap and water frequently (15 seconds at least) and stay away from crowds or others who are sick!.
Make sure you take good care of yourself!. Get enough sleep, plenty of fluids and eat a balanced diet!. Take a daily multivitamin, Avoid junk foods, processed food and sugary foods!. Try to improve your bodies immune system!.

As for when you are sick!.!.!.rest, rest, rest!. Drink water & caffeine free tea with honey and lemon!. Eat lots of fresh fruit and soups or broth!. Use saline nose drops, Have your parents buy you a humidifierWww@Answer-Health@Com

In layman's terms, the cells your body makes to fight allergens and some of the cells your body makes to fight bacterial and viral infections come from the same source!. When you have allergies, and your body produces cells to combat the perceived toxin, your body doesn't produce as many antibodies and you end up getting sick easier!. Allergies and catching infections are closely related and seeing an allergist to treat your allergies (such as with allergy shots) would probably fix the problem in the long run--but allergy shots can make you sick in the short run for these very reasons!. But you definitely need to see an allergist to figure out exactly which things you are allergic to--if they are things that can be controlled (such as specific pollen allergies) then just avoiding them for long enough will let your body make the antibodies it needs to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Allergies can cause the body to secrete large amounts of mucus!. If that mucus backs up, it can become host to bacteria and fungi, which can cause sinus infection and cold symptoms!. Does taking an anti-histimine help!?

You could also try the Sinus Rinse bottles, with an isotonic saline solution (do not use plain tap water - this will burn, it must be 0!.9%)!. You can get these at Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, et!. Maybe your current house is dusty or theres residual car/dog hair, etc, and you happen to be allergic!.

It probably wouldn't hurt to see a otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat specialist)!. They'd be better able to treat you than Yahoo Answers!. Good luck!.
