Why are the whites of my eyes yellow!?!?!

Question: Why are the whites of my eyes yellow!!?!!?
About two years ago the whites of my eyes started turning yellow!. I was tested twice for jaundice or any kind of liver problem!. The doctor said i was perfectly healthy in everything which i am a health freak so it makes sense!. As well about two years ago i moved from cali to idaho which has a much dryer climate!. When i went to an eye doctor he told me the dryer climate was causing dryness in my eyes which made the eyes develop calluses which made the yellow look!. I have tried all eye drops and everything and it only makes it worse and more yellow!. I have tried flushing out my body by drinking lots of water and all water for about a week dn that didn't do anything either!. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH ME!?!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I understand how you feel!. the white part of you eyeball (sclera) has turned yellowish!. Your doctor looked at your liver enzymes to see if there was something wrong!. The problem is that, checking the liver does not give you all the information needed to know the cause!. What I am saying is, hepatitis is not the only cause!. It is important to check the bilirrubin (it is a simple blood test)!. Bilirrubin is a Component of the red cell!. When there is any condition that either destroys the red cells or interferes with the elimination of the bilirrubin, this can cause jaundice!. Now, some people have hereditary yellow conjunctiva that shows later in life!. Easy, just check with older family members!. If I were you, I would go to one of those doctors who really care!. Not the ones who want to see 40-60 patients a day!. These ones are there for the money, and will not use their brain well!. Good question!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately, no one on YA can give you a definite answer!. What I can do, however, is encourage you to seek the advice of different doctors!. If your sclera (whites of the eye) are indeed yellow, that's not normal and something is wrong regardless of what your doctors have said!. Is there a University hospital near your area!? If so, go there and have them check you out!. They usually have access to more current tests, and their doctors are better at thinking outside the box!.

Good luck, hope you find an answer soon!.!.!.
