How To Raise My HDL (good cholesterol) Levels?!


Question: How To Raise My HDL (good cholesterol) Levels!?
I just had a simple blood test and my triglycerides are norma (103) and I got a good low LDL (bad cholesterol) level!.!.!.107!.

But my HDL is only 38! I was overweight three months prior to taking the blood test and during the three months prior to the test I lost 30lbs!. The three months before the test, I've been eating mostly nutrient foods (poultry, veggies, and fruit)!. I also exercise regularly!.

What else can I do to raise my HDL levels!? What foods may help!? Why is my HDL level so low when everything else is good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a heart patient for the last six and half years!. Your hdl is on lower side but not alarming!. You should dip 5 almonds (badam) daily in the water at night and take in the morning after removing it cover, it will definitely raise your HDL!.!. not the answer you are looking for as I live in England where we have the nhs service but I have often wondered how you would manage in America if you did not have medical insurance!. !. But I am also interested in diet and nutrition and from experience over a lot of years a good diet really does make a difference to ones health and the need for a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

One handful of nuts per day (walnuts)
Olive oil 1 tbsp / day - cleans arteries
Salmon, Cod or Bass 3x/wk fish oil
flavinoids - nuts, green tea, red wine, grapes, cranberries, oj, onions, tomatoes and tomato juice!.

I have noticed that other than diet & exercise, everytime I smoke it affects my HDL & LDL H goes down & L goes up!. Even one or two cigs a week make a difference!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
