Question: HOw do I know if I have COPD!?
Chronic Obstructive pulmonary disease!. From smoking!. Is there any way to make it go away!? Any ideas would be appreciatedWww@Answer-Health@Com

There is no way to make it go away!. I really wish it would!. You can do some things to make it easier to live with!. Deep breathing exercises, Coughing exercises, plain black hot coffee, Corticosteroids, other inhalers!.
I just refuse to give in to it or any other bad problems I have!.
Remember it isn't only from your smoking!. Pneumonia as a child, getting in fumes and chemicals (cosmetology shop, etc) and allergens help to give us a bad time!.
The medications are maybe even worse than the not being able to breathe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For an absolute diagnosis, you'll need to have tests such as PFT's (pulmonary function tests)!. If you smoke, however, you can tell by your symptoms!. Do you cough up phlegm!? Do you get short of breath with mild to moderate physical activity!? If the answer is yes, then you have either chronic bronchitis or emphysema or both!. If you quit smoking immediately, your lungs begin to repair some of the damage!. They can never get back to the condition they were in before you began to smoke, but you'll notice a marked improvement within two weeks!. Certain medications, usually inhalers, can help you breather easier, but they don't undo the damage!.
See a pulmonologist for the tests and medicines, and by all means please quit smoking as soon as possible!. A new drug called Chantix blocks the nicotine receptor sites in the brain and has been shown to be very effective in helping people to quit!.

Consult a pulmonary Dr and have some pulmonary function tests done and some lung X-ray or MRIWww@Answer-Health@Com
