Breast Cancer Advice.?!

Question: Breast Cancer Advice!.!?
My fiance is 36 years old!. She has a lump in her breast above her left nipple!. She has felt it and measured it!. She says it is about 2 cm!. She said she felt it 2 weeks ago!. She has told me that it has not grown since then!. It doesn't move!. We are both concerned because we both believe it is cancer due to the lump not moving!.

Niether of us have insurance!. However she will get health benefits next week because she got a new job!. Which is why we haven't seen a doctor!. I feel so helpless because I barely make any income!. It is barely enough to pay rent, bills etc!.

Can anyone who has any personal experience or knowledge give me some advice in what to do!? And if the size of this is advanced or not!? I am really at a loss in what to do!. I am really worried for her!. I want to help her in any way I can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A couple of things to remember: Most breast lumps aren't cancerous!. Breast cancer is rare in women as young as your fiance, although of course it does happen!.

It's impossible to self diagnose, you really won't know until the appropriate tests are done!. It isn't possible to tell by feeling; before I was diagnosed the first two doctors to give me a physical exam - one of whom was a breast cancer specialist - were of the opinion that my breast lump wasn't cancer because it didn't feel like a typical cancerous lump!. It was cancer!. I tell you this just to show that you can't tell by feeling it yourselves!.

I can't advise on the insurance situation as I live in the UK and our treatment is free; but if it's going to take a week or two till her insurance is in place, a short delay like that won't make any difference!.

My best wishes to you both/

*Just to correct something that's been said; cancer is rarely hereditary - fewer than 10% of all cancer cases are!. And only 5 - 10% of breast cancer cases are hereditary!. An indication that a cancer might be hereditary within a family is when several members of the same side of the family have had the same type of cancer - it has to be the same type, several family members having different types of cancer doesn't indicate heredity!.

my friends mum went through the same thing and she went to get a mammogram!. i think it is best thing to do without guessingWww@Answer-Health@Com

Most communities have low-cost breast cancer screenings!. Especially as we are entering Breast Cancer Awareness month (or already in it !.!.!.!.)

Don't delay with this!. As Lo_mcg points out, she is a bit young, but I have known women who got breast cancer in their mid-late 30s!.

First, a visit to an Ob/Gyn would be a good starting point!. Often they can tell by feeling a lump that it is suspicious or not!. They can work with you to find a place to get low-cost diagnostic mammograms!.

Don't wait!. If it is malignant, waiting isn't going to help the situation!. If it is not, then you will have worried about it less!.

It's worth giving up cable or high-speed internet for a month or two to get this resolved!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would suggest if your really concerned do some detective work!.
check into her families past, see if anyone has had any type of cancer!. even the men, history is everything with cancer, not that she coundlnt start the history but it may be just a benign cyst
a check up is required as soon as you can get it a mammogram is not that expensive but dont waist any more time ,
if it IS cancer it can be removed for a reasonable cost!. a funeral is a lot more expensive and the loss if never forgotten!. just a thought consider moving to Canada we have free medical!. we never turn anyone away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
