I constantly have a minor sore throat,can anyone help???

my mom told me she had the same problem when she was younger but it gets annoying especially when i drink too much cold water....when the sore throats are bad i even lose my voice..............

Persistent sore throats that either recur frequently, or never go away are sometimes a sign of strep throat. When you get one, you really should let a doctor take a look. It's possible it could just be a little genetic throat obstruction that and your mother have, or even a harmless allergic reaction to something. However, if you're actually losing your voice, and are annoyed by it from drinking cold water, you really need to seek medical advice. Besides strep, there are some serious, and potentially life-threatening conditions that can cause some of the symptoms you mentioned.
