Hard time catching breath....?!

Question:

Hard time catching breath....?

Ok, so everyone on here has been awesome so far! I have "episodes" where I have a hard time catching my breath so I yawn and yawn and yawn until I get the "relief", I am a 23 yo Male (yes I smoke), I constantly have sinus drainage and it feels like there is a lump in the back of my throat when this happens, every now and then it will lead into an anxiety attack. I have been to a couple of doctors, they tell me it is anxiety, or allergies, but I am not convinced! Occasionally it will make me nauses (sp?) and then of course I attempt to throw up which nothing ever comes up which leads to my chest hurting for trying so hard. Does anyone know what this is? Does anyone have this?

P.S. My heart is fine, they checked that out, I don't have astma or anyting.

PLEASE HELP!

Answers:

it is anxiety. I'm 28 used to smoke (the smoking part does'nt mater by the way, it'll cause you lung cancer in the future, but as for now it should'nt have any impact) and have had those issues for a while now. i was told i was asthmatic, but if you have asthma you have problems exhaling not inhailing. Turns out its all in your head, mine is stress induced, the more i get stressed the more it comes on. The longer i can't get that "final" breath in the worse it gets, i know, it sucks. you can't stop it from when it happens, but you can find out whats goin on in your life that could be inducing it. You mayynot be stressed, but your body knows when you are worrying about stuff and the more you do the more it reacts. The nose seems to be a allergy problem, i had to have surgery for mine cause the tissues in my nose the swell in reaction to allergins where over reacting and causing breatheing problems and i had a deviated septom. I've been in and out of the hospital trying to fix all these issues so, i know where your comin from. good luck, and do more stuff you enjoy and dont stress on the little ****.
