meth can make you pick at yourself - you get convinced you can see a lump under your skin or something and you have a go at getting it out.
i am an ex addict and my 'thing' was pulling strands of my hair out. eventually, i ended up with a big bald patch. i also picked at the skin on my legs.
also, as most meth addicts are malnourished due to not eating, your body is depleted of vitamins and minerals and any sores you do have, take ages to heal.
