Answers:
mayonnaise and a shower cap. Put the mayonaise on the hair, saturate it. Cover it in the shower cap and go to sleep. If you dont want to sleep, keep it on there for at least 6 hours. The mayo smothers the little devils. It was the only thing that worked on my daughters when they seemed to have an incurable case. Wash everything, and bag up pillows and stuffed animals for at least 10 days.

Lice stink. Oh, I also found that removing the individual nits with tweezers and placing them in alcohol, worked really well.
