what is something bad that can happen if you have a fever!?!? im just 15 yrs old so i was curious!. i mean what can go wrong with having a fever!? - something severe if your really warm!.

The fever is just your body fighting off an infection - so it's actually a good thing, although it is very uncomfortable!. In most cases it's best to let nature take it's course, take Tylenol for fever reduction & pain, take a tepid (cool/warm) bath, drink lots of fluids, and get rest (sleep)!. If your fever is high and stays high for a long time (over 24 hours) it is best to see a doctor - he may want to prescribe antibiotics if necessary!. It sounds like you have the flu!.
The 'bad' thing that can happen with a fever is dehydration - or in severe cases, seizures !. But seizures usually happen in infants and young children as a result of a rapid fever spike!.

if the fever is to bad then you can fry your brain!. If your actually sane enough to post this though I dont think its bad enough to worry about that!.
If someone has a fever and seems to be hallucinating then it could be frying their brain!. it could also lead to coma, loss of memory, loss of cognitive function and even death!.
Thats a really bad fever though so i wouldnt worry about that
