orthopedic surgeors thst specialize in thumb basal joint surgery caused by arthritis. i want to find someone that has experience in this type of surgery. i don't want to loose the use of my thumbs i live in the alexandria, louisiana area. i would like to find a doctor here or in a surrounding city.

You should call around to find out who does the best hand surgery in your area. Noone will specialize in that specific joint, just hands. An outpatient hand therapist (ot or pt) could tell you.
