Do I have to take Glyciphage tablets?!

Question: Do I have to take Glyciphage tablets!?
I was diagnosed with high sugar (Fasting -385, 425PP) a month ago!. My Endocrinologist put me on insuline first for ten days and later with Insuline and Dianorm-M for next twenty days!. Insuline was stopped in stages and later I stopped tablets due to Hypoglycemia!. I have made changes to my diet and started excercise!. Now my sugar is always in normal range on lower side and my doctor is asking me to have Glyciphage SR 500 tablets!. Why do I have to take any medication when my sugar is in control without any medication!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If you have Type 2 diabetes, your pancreas continues to produce some insulin, but the insulin cannot distribute the food to the cells, as the receptors no longer accept the insulin to open the cells!. It is called insulin resistance!.

I would highly recommend that you contact your doctor before making any changes in your medication!. You are doing good, but you don't want your blood sugar to go back up because your cells won't accept the food!.

You should stay on meds until you have an A1c of under 6!.0 and only then with your doctor's permission!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
