Hello, I have Neurofibromatosis Type- 1!.
I'm 20 years old and have had only one tumor on my spine!.
It has depleted itself!.
I do have the cafe-spots!.
I'm just wondering, is there more to come!?
Can NF become dormant!?

My 19 year old brother has NF!. He is doing fine!. He has only had one tumor that was on the back of his head!. Unfortunately he is mildly mentally challenged!. People are affected in different ways by NF!. It is important to see a doctor regularly who is experienced in working with patients with NF!. NF does not become dormant!. It is always there, but you can't really know what is to come!. That is why it is so important to see your doctor regularly and keep on top of things!. Good luck!. i have neurufibromatosis too!. it is hereditary and my dad has it also!. there is no cure for it!. but is is almost always not fatal!. i have had it all my life and it has not really affected my health!. are you a guy or gal !? i am a guy!. i have it on my back, a little on my legs and stomach!. i hate it but at least it is not to bad!. it might get just a bit more pronounced but it is nothing to worry about!. please e-mail me at ruswhit60@yahoo!.com if you want to talk about this!. i have alot of anwsers for your questions!.
