I have a cold, and my ear hurts slightly. Why?!

Question: I have a cold, and my ear hurts slightly!. Why!?
So i have a cold for some time now, no more runny nose just blocked nose and everytime i swallow/burp/yawn, i hear sounds in my ears, it's like when you're on a plane, you have ear pressure and it hurts slightly!.

I am taking Actifed (syrup) for my colds!.

Why!? Is this normal or bad!?

If you know what i should do, it would be great!. I don't really want to go to the doctor as much as possible!.

Answers:
Ear blockade and sound in ears is because of blocked eustachian tube ( Tube connecting nasopharynx to middle ear), sometimes fluid also gets accumulated behind ear drum and eventually it may turn to middle ear infection!.

Take steam inhalation, use some nasal drops and though you don't want to visit doc but better if you visit!.
Consult some ENT specialist, you may need some other medicines also!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

How long have you had this cold!? It sounds like to me that you have some fluid in your ears, from Your cold!. If it does not clear up soon, you may want to check with your dr, as you could have damage to your ears!. The actifed will help the cold, but not necessarily the stuffed up nose and the crackling ears!. Good Luck, and don't let it go too much longer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think its to do with the pressure from your sinus on your eardrums!. Echinaecea is a great herbal tonic Www@Answer-Health@Com

i find that popping noise occurs when you are getting betterWww@Answer-Health@Com
