Question: Did you or do you have cancer!?
I had thyroid cancer which was removed last year!. I was wondering if you have had cancer and if so are you in remission and what kind of cancer did you have!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was dx a little over 5 years ago, and it took 3 surgeries (thyroidectomy and 2 bilateral neck dissections) over 18 months to get me to be no evidence of disease (NED)!. I had a positive biopsy 2 years later followed by a modified left neck dissection with the path report being negative for thyca (and lymphoma, there was a concern of that)!. I had a scar revision and some chin reconstruction this past March and then had an MRI come up with 2 extremely suspicious lymph nodes!. Off for another modified left neck dissection last month with again another negative path report!. Needless to say, I am done with surgery! I've has 3 RAIs as well!. I really don't like the RAI, I feel crappy already being so hypo and I always get nauseous!. Remission generally isn't used in the thyca world, NED or saying you've been clean for x years (referring to a clean WBS)!.

I have thyroid cancer - thyroid removed 2 years ago, plus nodes in the neck!. I had nodes im my chest taken out about 6 months later!. Going in for a second opinion today on surgery number 3!. (total of 1 year and 11 months now!.)
I don't believe anyone ever says remisison with thyroid cancer cause it comes back so often!.

I was diagnosed with uterine cancer 2 1/2 years ago, have had 2 surgeries, radiation and chemo but am now cancer free! Just had a scan 2 weeks ago!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
