Sarah, I also have arthritis which when it "flares" causes swelling!. The rings that I love and never take off become tight but not uncomfortable I have never had to take them off!. Bracelets I also love have become tight but I haven't had to take them off either!. Soaking your hands in cold water helps greatly with the swelling when it occurs!. I am sorry that you have this problem, but, I don't see it as affecting the jewelery you want to wear!. Please remember that the swelling, the inflammation, will come and it will go away it is not permanent!. Of course the arthritis is permanent but not the swelling!.
As they say "it only acts up sometimes!."

There is nothing silly about your question our "bling" is very important and becomes a part of who we are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Keep your bracelets!.!. They are who you are!. You will learn what you must give up due to pain and adjust accordingly do not give it up prematurely!. I have to be careful about necklaces and I love them head bands, and my precious hats!.!. they can aggravate my condition to proportions that I cannot deal with so I have compromised and wear the necklaces until I feel them becoming a problem!.!. then I remove them!.

I do not have arthritis but I have the same pain and it settles mostly in my neck and skull but in all my joints!.

There should be no reason not to wear your bracelets unless they actually become uncomfortable or painful!. If they become too tight, a jeweller can "let them out" so adeptly that the insert will be barely visible!. (One did this for a gold ring of mine that would no longer slide over my knuckle!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

if ur problems aggravated after wearing bracelets/bangles, then u've to think of leaving them!. lest u need not worry on wearing them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will have to take them off for any x-rays!.!.!.but they are'nt the cause of you're troubles!.!.!.some people get relief from wearing copper bangles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

as far as I know the jewellery will not affect your arthritis but be aware if it gets bad you might not be able to get them on or offWww@Answer-Health@Com
