High blood sugar question!!!!!!??????!

Question:

High blood sugar question!!!!!!??????

I am not on any medication or insulin, but I have to monitor my blood sugars often throughout the day. I havent gotten a singe "normal" result yet. I am 33 weeks pregnant. I am beginning to think I have to starve myself to keep my sugar level below 150. I dont know what to do. I go to a military base for my healthcare and they are not open today so I cant call my doctor and ask him whats wrong. I have gotten 3 readings of my blood sugars over 250 and the rest of the time it is at 170ish. I actually got it to dip down to 110 yesterday but I dont know what i did besides sweat in the car.

Yes I am following a diet, I havent talked to a nutritionist yet ( I dont have an appt until the 26th) but I have read up on the diets I should follow and have been strict on it. I am not allowed to excorsize because I am 33 weeks and fully effaced and ready to pop and we dont want the baby to come early. BUT I did go for a walk today and I think i took it a bit too far because my blood sugar dropped to 65 so I ate 2 lifesavers and now am at 110. I prolly shouldnt have done that though because now I have been having contractions. grrrr I just want to find a happy medium!

Answers:

Are you following the diet given to you from the doctors office? Are you doing exercises like walking? Walking will help with your blood sugar levels, and I think that a little walking goes a long ways for bringing the blood sugar down and keeping it pretty level.
Try dinner salads, or seafood salads if its alright with your doctor. Sometimes changing to vegetable protein will help bring your blood sugar levels down too.
Its time to work out this new adventure your life has brought to you. Go for it!
