Can a person who had scoliosis be a doctor?!

Question: Can a person who had scoliosis be a doctor!?
Answers:
A person with scoliosis can become pretty much whatever they want!.

I'm as normally functioning as anyone (are any of us really "normal"!?)!. I never got off schedule with school (had surgery over summer break)!. Graduated college at 20 and have been an OR nurse for 16 years, one of the most physically demanding areas of nursing (lots of lifting and lots of standing in one place for long periods)!. I've had 2 children without difficulty (didn't even use an epidural)!. I love to travel (I don't set off metal detectors), yoga (though the fusion prevents some positions), and SCUBA dive!. I can pretty much do anything I want!.!.!.but don't tell my husband I use the scoliosis to get out of vacuuming :) I don't feel my rods, but my bottom curve does ache now and then, I'm supposed to take 1-2 Alleve at bed time, but us nurses are awful patients, so I don't do it regularly!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

the key thing here is had past tense so i would say you are past it and stronger because of that!. im not sure what scoliosis is ive been reading for a few minutes and it sounds like it is somekind of physical pain maybe in the bones or the back i dont know but from what ive read it seems like people have overcome it and participated in sports and other activities!. i say pursue your dreams and good luck becoming a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course he/she can be a doctor if the so called scoliosis does not affect his/her jobs and is a registered qualified doctor with many years of experience in treating patients!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
