Painful lymph nodes would most likely be an infection or virus!. Lymph nodes enlarged from cancer USUALLY aren't painful!. That said, there are always exceptions -- cancer doesn't always play by the rules!. If the nodes do not go down within a few days or there is no explanation for why they are enlarged, see a doctor who can evaluate whether they are something to be concerned over!. A doctor needs to actually feel and see the nodes to determine whether they are a problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Infections and cancers!. Maybe something a little far out but my child was scratched by a cat!. She had painful lymph nodes under the arm!. Due to familial history of cancers we went in and quickly got checked out!. Turns out the scratch had infected her with "cat scratch fever"!. A course of antibiotics and everything was good to go!. Please get checked out!. It is really important to do this as soon as you notice a problem!. Hope this helps you out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Hodgkin's lymphoma, or a bacterial infection!.!.!. but i would get it checked out just in case, i just had a lymph node on my neck and it wouldn't go away for 2 months, It turns out it is lymphoma cancer and i have to do chemo!.!.!. get it checked out just in caseWww@Answer-Health@Com
