Diabetes is when your pancreas stops producing insulin!. Insulin is the chemical our body releases to regulate the amount of sugar entering the bloodstream!. If a diabetic eats sugar (or carbs) and does not take insulin for it, the sugar enters the bloodstream, and causes hyperglycemia which can lead to a coma!. Diabetics can also get low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) which means there is not enough sugar in the blood!. A small amount of fast acting carbs, like an apple juice or regular (not diet) soda will usually get the blood sugar levels back to normal!. Diabetics have to test their blood sugar with a testing device often to see whether they are high or low!. Normal blood sugar is 100!. There are two types of diabetes!. Type 1 is when a childhood illness wipes out the pancreas' good cells, and when these good insulin producing cells are all gone, no more come back!. Type 2 is caused by poor diet and exercise habits!. You basically confuse your pancreas with sugar highs and lows to the point it quits working properly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

JulieT had a really good answer!. But also, if your bg levels bottom out (not enough sugar) it can make it seem as though the person is crazy!. Sometimes when my bg crashes its almost as if I'm in a trance- just staring at things- and I get really really hateful!.!.!.!. High bg's (too much sugar)are a little different though!. They're mostly headaches and urinating alot Www@Answer-Health@Com

Diabetes is a disease which occurs when the body cannot produce insulin (Type I) or when the body's ability to use insulin to carry blood from the blood stream is impaired (Type II)!. Symptoms of diabetes include extreme thirst and frequent urination!. Some people also experience tiredness, blurred vision and unexplained loss of weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
