My lip piercing, scar tissue forming around it ? helppp ?!

i got my lip piercing about 3-4 mounths ago and like around the out side there is this hard skin that sorta shows, i think it may be scar tissue but it like really bothers my when people look because im afraid they will see it!. i play with my lip ring alot when i first got it, could that be the case!.!. and could some body tell me what it is iff its not scar tissue and will it ever go away!.!. thank you Www@Answer-Health@Com
