Swollen glands after oral? ?!

Question: Swollen glands after oral!? !?
Last night I had a bit too much to drink and my guy friend and I messed around!. We didn't have intercourse at all, just a bit of oral but not even long at all!. I don't know him that well, but again, I was drinking!.!.!.!. it was a big mistake though and I feel horrible!.

But later this evening under my chin started to hurt a bit, and I think I have a swollen gland!. I might be overreacting, but I am really worried about this!. For one, I don't normally do dumb stuff like that, and for two; I am very health conscious!.!.!. so my anxiety is freaking out!.

I just need some mature and serious, calming answers!. It's possible it can be my sinuses too!.
Also, if I decided to go get tested for multiple things if this is still bothering me, exactly how long should I wait!?

Thanks!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You are overreacting to this incident!. Lets assess your risk (I think you are talking about the risk of HIV infection because you did not mention it):

1) The chances of contracting HIV from unprotected oral sex is estimated around 1 in 10000 for a single episode (IF your partner is infected)!. It is just a theoretical risk!. The risk is too low and approaching zero!.

2) Symptoms are usually not indicators for HIV infection!. Most of the infected people do not show any symptom and symptoms are not HIV specific and could be well related to other medical conditions or anxiety!.

3) You do not know if your partner was infected or not!. Most people are not, specially if you live in north america!.

So the chances are very low!. Is it possible!? yes it is, but it is probably more likely to get hit by lightening rather than getting infected by HIV from oral sex!.

To ease your mind, go and get tested around 6-8 weeks after exposure!. Almost all infected people test positive by this time!. Then confirm it with a 3 months conclusive test!. Expect a negative result and then move on with you life!. Your exposure was very low risk!. I am just telling you to get tested not because of the risk but because to get a peace of mind!.

Good luck! and keep us posted if you canWww@Answer-Health@Com

most probably a bacterial or viral infection!. how about your tonsils!? are they swollen also!? std's cannot be acquired unless you a cut in your mouth or a mouth ulcers!.
maybe its just a cold or viral infection like a flu virus or common colds which triggers your lymphnode!.
hope that helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

if your worrying about getting a std in your mouth!.i highly doubt that can happen!.maybee you pulled a muscle under your chin !.i would be too worried!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you may need to do it more often!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it continues you need to see a doctor!. If it is indeed a swollen gland it may be some other type of infection that had nothing to do with your indiscretion!. One other responder said you may have strained a muscle under your chin!. That too is possible!. Take ibupfofen for that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
