Urgent! Help! Please!?!

Question:

Urgent! Help! Please!?

My friend's mom has shingles and my friend came over and played with my 5 year old brother and i was wondering if it could spread to my brother (who did not have chicken pox)
THANKS YOU!

Answers:

There are a lot of "ifs" here
1.Was your brother exposed to the friend's mom? If he just exposed to the friend, then it should not be an issue....
IF 2. your brother's friend has already had chicken pox or the vaccine himself and IF he is not about to erupt out in pox d/t being exposed to his mom.
If your bro's friend has had chicken pox or the vaccine, and your brother was not in direct contact with his friend's mom, then chances are slim to none.
If the friend has not had chicken pox or the vaccine, then chances are that your bro is more likely to get them himself... but ONLY if your bro's friend breaks out in pox in the next few days.
and 3.slim to no chance IF your bro. has had the vaccine!(which he should have had already).
Hope this makes sense! Good luck, either way, it will be fine. Chicken pox is just one of those things you go through just fine, usually!
