What are the causes and risks of high muscle enzymes?
My doctor took a blood test, and mine are 1900. I am 39 and weigh 200 lbs. No other risk factors I know of.

There are many things that could cause elevated muscle enzymes. Muscle fatigue, alcohol consumption, medications, liver problems, sprue, etc. There isn't a risk because of the enzymes, it's more a diagnostic test to determine if all is well. One of the more common causes for this is being on medication for cholesterol, but there are many different causes. Did the doctor say anything about it?
