Question: If i have a canker sore is it herpes!?
i think i have a canker sore in my mouth and i got scared that i could give it to my boyfriend!. is it herpes, like is having a canker sore the same as a cold sore!? and what could have caused this!. im only kissing him!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some people like to believe they are herpes but they are not!. They are totally different and have different symptoms!.
Cold sores come with itching and or burning and or tingling sensations all in one spot usually on or where a sore or blister like thing appears!.
Canker sores usually occur on the cheeks or inner pallet of the mouth (the inside part around where your lips are)!. Canker sores can be caused by bacteria build up, fungus, or biting your cheek (either by habit or accidentally)!.

Ulcers in your mouth have many causes - including stress and irritation/ rubbing like braces or sharp teeth!.
These can be very painful!. Salt water washes will hurt like hell but help to heal them!.

No cold sore are caused by acid from the stomache coming up!. That is why people get them alot after vomiting!. But some baking soda on it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
