Open wound for three days???
my bf had a pimple on his finger which looked yellow and infected. his mom popped it and it pussed and bled for an hour. the next day his whole hand swelled up like a baseball glove and he went to a clinic and the doctor told him it is a bug bite but he wasnt sure. he only gave him pills (Cephalexin 500mlg for 10 days) and told him to wrap it in a gauze strip...its still bleeding and pussing and its been 2 days already...im getting worried. what is it?

If you feel like the bleeding is abnormal I would head back to the clinic or call your physician . Cephalexin is antibiotic used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria such as pneumonia and bone, ear, skin, and urinary tract infections. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.
Cephalexin may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
* upset stomach
* diarrhea
* vomiting
* mild skin rash
If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
* severe skin rash
* itching
* hives
* difficulty breathing or swallowing
* wheezing
***unusual bleeding or bruising***
* sore throat
* painful mouth or throat sores
* vaginal infection
Remember to take as prescribed don't skip or take more that is recommended to make up for a missed pill (discontinue use at the end of the 10 days). I wouldn't worry to much though even if he is experiencing any of the side effects just casually go to or call you Dr no need to panic :)
