No, studies suggest this vaccine is more effective when given to girls before they become sexually active, however having this vaccine, even if you are sexually active and possibly have HPV, won't do any harm and may still be of benefit!. Your Dr or school Nurse who gives it, is unlikely to ask you such questions!. At the moment, this vaccine is being given to 12/13 year olds!.The aim is eventually to make this vaccine available to all young girls and women!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
