Question: Ulcerative Colitis!? Prednisone!?
I'm 19 (20 in about 2 weeks) and have had ulcerative colitis since i was 6!.
Just wanting to meet people who also have colitis and would like to talk just for the hell of it!.

I would like to recommend the book below on the link!. It is a natural healing diet, like soft fruits, such as banana, melon, peeled cucumber,
and so on !. I added soy milk and boiled egg for protein!.
You should avoid all milk, fibre, and meats!.
I feel sorry that you had to go through this terrible time!. Some doctors are just out there to make money!. Recently I was prescribed some medicine for something and then the doctor said to check your liver after taking it!. I went home looked up the side effects of the drug and it included liver damage, liver failure, and death!.
I did some more research on the condition, and found that a simple home remedy that is very cheap would work very well!. That there are in fact at least 3 other treatments that would work all for under $5!.
and available locally!. I was so angry that the medicine the doctor prescribed cost $50!. I refused to take it!.
You have to be careful!.

Hiya! I'm 28 and have had ulcerative colitis since 19!. I've also got Sclerosing Cholangitis too, which is a rare complication of U!.C!.
I've been on Prednisolone since the age of 20 and i have never been in remission!.
I've also been on Colazide, Mercaptopurine, Sulphasalazine, Imuran, Dipentum, Salofalk, Puri-nethol, Balsalaside, Pentasa and a couple of others with no relief!. Most gave me bad liver results or a rash!.
Changing dairy intake and my diet has not helped either!.

Hi there,my nephew has ulcerative colitis too!.he is only 16 yrs old!.he was trying many medicines,shots etc but not so much improvement!.doc was suggesting him to remove his colon that we all are against of!.we don't want to give up and want to try alternative medicine!.He stoped his all medicine now and taking ancient Indian method of treatment called!.!.'ayurveda'!.allthough this medicine works slowly on our body so we need to have some patience!.here is the link of that Indian doctor who lives in new Delhi!.India but he do visits USA time to time!.may be you can consult him personlay here and start taking his treatment!.my nephew all ready started his medicine!.here is the link!.!.hope it will help you!.good luck and god bless you!.
