How do you know when you heart gos really fast that you need to go to the hosptial?I never know and go rushing out the door.Then they stop sometimes.It had been 130 to 190 beats.Very scary.Also how long can your heart beat real fast untill something real bad happens.?Thnaks

Mine beat fast for 25 years and I am still alive. Nah, really, 190 beats a minute isn't too bad. It is when your heart beats 190 beats over a long period of time when your heart muscle starts to wear out. If it happens all the time, I suggest going to see a cardiologist. A cardiologist can hook you up to a 24 hour heart monitor and monitor your heart rythm for any and all irregularities. Fixing a fast heart rate can mean taking a pill everyday or having minor surgery where catheters with electric tips are inserted in your chest and groin and threaded through your veins and heart while your heart rythm is mapped and an electrophysiologist can find what is causing your rapid heart beat. Once found, the cells that make your heart beat irregularly are burned off and your heart will beat normal.
No matter what you do, go see a doctor.
