Asperger Syndrome is similar to High Functioning Autism!. The person who has Asperger's often realises that there is something not quite 'right' with the way they feel and behave in the world!. Many people with Asperger's talk in a flat monotone voice, do not usually understand visual humour and cannot pick up visual clues in a person's body language, are focused in a certain area, usually very good with numbers and calculations!. Often Aspergers is also associated with OCD and or ADHD so sometimes comes with other Learning Disabilities!.

My daughter was thought to have had Asperger Syndrome from a young age and I have worked with young adults who have Asperger syndrome!. It was discovered by a Doctor called Asperger and so was named after him!. If you have Asperger Syndrome you will never grow out of it and it cannot be cured, you have to live with it and adapt!.

Many people with Aspergers can go on to live happy lives, some marry and get jobs quite a few need more help to live independently!.

To find out if you have Asperger's you need to go see the doctor and have some psychological tests!. Can you get support from a family member or friend to go with you!? The tests arn't scary but it's nice to have some support!.

Your family can find out when you get the results of your tests back!. You can show them your results!. Once diagnosed you can get help with handling your problems!. Your surgery should help you with this!.!. either the doctor or the nurse!.

Good luck with being so pro-active!.

Life can get easier for you!. Another tip for when you go to the doctors, write down what you want to ask and say first!. You will be able to remember all you want to ask then and if you don't feel comfortable in asking him/her questions, you can just hand over the paper for him or her to read!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Asperger syndrome is part of the autistic spectrum!. Like autism it is classified by the triad of impairments, difficulty with social interaction, difficulty with social imagination and difficulty with social communication!. People with AS tend to love a rigid routine that makes them feel safe and in control!. They also sometimes have very specialised interests that can become obsessive!. People with AS are usually quite good at hiding their difficulties for short periods but if something upsets them or their routine is disturbed it can lead to a lot of anxiety and upset!. If you think you have AS you have to get a referral from your doctor to a clinical psychologist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, setting aside the fact that your spelling needs a little work, I will gladly explain Asperger's Syndrome to you!. The two uniform resource locations I have provided should give you a good start as to defining Asperger's Syndrome although they are somewhat clinical!.

STILL, I would not get too bogged down in all the clinical jargon and details if I were you!. Do understand that Asperger's Syndrome is a spectrum disorder that varies in severity among its hosts!. You could run into an Aspie that is an accomplished university professor that is seen as a little nutty or one that is really down on his luck and forced to scavenge for scrap metal to sell!.

In my particular case, I would find the world very chaotic at times!. I have been in therapy throughout my childhood/adolescence instead of my parents really socializing me by re-engineering their professional lives to spend more time with me!. Considering that my mom had a quarter-century under her belt and that my dad is four years her senior, I suspect that my parents were not really emotionally prepared for me like they were my junior siblings and this re-engineering and extensive intervention would probably not helped very much at this point!. There is a lot of frustration on my part as I try to contribute where I can only to have it thwarted!. This history of frustration and proclivity for order/logic has inspired the advent of several bouts of depression and anxiety!. There was one period where I lost contact with reality and expressed a desire to kill my dad!. Because of my dysfunctional history with them, I am currently not close with my parents!. Setting them aside for the moment, the emphasis is on the fact that my Asperger's Syndrome is the psychiatric/psychological equivalent of diabetes in the sense that it sets the stage for all kinds of psychiatric conditions that are serious in their own right but are merely symptomatic complications!.

In my case, I tend to adhere to absolute ethics most of the time and think logically!. Right now, I am trying to convince the local city bus company here to think about lengthier and higher-capacity transit buses instead of more of the 40-foot transit buses that they already have in their fleet!. My Asperger's Syndrome puts me at a disadvantage in political matters of prudence like this!. On a national level, I happen to think that the United States dollar should only rely upon international market forces by a margin of 25% with the dollar/ounce value of platinum, gold, and silver taking care of the remaining 75% in equal amounts!. I do not know if the guys and gals of the Washington Columbia District will see the light and give my suggestion some serious thought; still, the point is that scenarios like this area constant cause of frustration -- more so because I rely heavily on logic/common sense and sometimes make the mistake of exporting that expectation to other people!. As an Aspie, I have to deal with people exporting their social expectations upon me and remember *ignorance and inertia before malice*!. I also have to watch out for people that see an advantage in attempting to directly manipulate me into acting to their advantage!.

As for detecting Asperger's Syndrome, that occurs accurately with about the same ease as detecting a number divisible by seven -- there being a search specifically for it!. Sure, there are people that note certain observations about you that strike them as a little odd and a not-so-insignificant number that will read the endemic Aspie attributes as a deliberate affront to be penalized as such!. Still, diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome can only be done by a well-trained psychiatrist/psychologist well-versed in that disorder!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
