Is Sinus a Hereditary Disease?!

Question: Is Sinus a Hereditary Disease!?
My Paternal Grandparents had 8 Children, and about 4 of them have Sinus Problem!.
Then their children have the Sinus problems (my cousins)!.
I have got the worst, and I was born with this disease!.

I can't speak properly!. Pronunciation is a huge problem that affects my speech and confidence!.
This is why I don't talk a lot!.
My "S" "C" "Z" "X" are the devils!.
Pronouncing them correctly is impossible!.
"S" sometimes sounds like "K", and sometimes "SSSSSSSSS" (similar to a snake's hiss)
"Z" is quite similar the the "S" problem!.
"X" sounds like "K" once again!.
"C" is the same as "S" (adviCe)
But "C" sounds like a "C" when it is supposed to sound like "K" (Cake)

I will say that I have improved a lot!.
I am 15 now!.!.!.!.and I still remember me being 9 (it was a lot worse than it is today)

I also speak nasally sometimes (and 2 years back, it was all the time)

So, I think I am improving!.

But the ENT specialist(s) said that it will require 2 surgeries to fix the sinus!.!.!.but it won't help my speech problem!.

So, is there any way I can actually help myself!?

*Best Wishes*

Answers:
Sinus problems are not hereditary!. You inherit genes that can make you susceptible to having allergy problems, but you don't inherit actual sinus symptoms!. Having a "nasal" quality sound can be due to restrictions in your sinus pathways not allowing enough air to pass through or not taking in or releasing full breaths from the diaphragm!. I had the same issue when I was younger, my mother and aunt used to tell me to quit "talking through my nose" and talk right!. Your voice comes from and is projected from your vocal cords with the help of your diaphragm!. Practice simple words at first, then incorporate the practice into daily conversation!. Being 15, you still have some issues of puberty to deal with regarding changes in your body!. Give it time!. You will see a difference!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh sure, Ray!. You can go to a speech therapist!. In the US they are free with your education!. But, anywhere they should be quite common!. There are many people with speech difficulties!. I am sure you could even research them on the internet! Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is not a disease, and your sinusitis may be caused by an allergy, most are!.and that is not the reason you have a Speech defectWww@Answer-Health@Com
