Question: I have a lump in my neck!!?
i found a lump in my neck under my chin a few month ago!.!.!.!.then i started getting really bad headaches and feeling down!. I have been to the docs they have referred me for an ultrasound but i have to wait a month!. i have been for my blood tests doing today and i have to wait a week, am dying to know what could be wrong, can someone please help, pleaaaaassee
Apparently the ultrasound is the quickest he cud get and i couldnt get in any sooner if wasn'tsnt for him my family sed i wud ave been waiting ages which is why i am worrying more!.
I have always bein a worrier but the way am feeling now i know that something isn'tsnt right, am constantly tired, not eating and i look a complete mess, dry horrible skin!. I have been off work for the last month coz i have no energy at all!. Am hoping it is just nothin

I'm afraid you'll have to wait for the results from your tests, sweetheart!. I'm sorry for what you're going through, and I can imagine how tense and worried you are!.
A lump under the chin, I would think, might be a lymph node that's swollen!. And with the headache and feeling sick, I would think it might be an infection, since lymph nodes tend to swell during an infection, like strep throat or the flu!.
Of course, I'm not a doctor, so!.!.!.listen to what he/she tells you ok!? Try not to worry too much - worrying will make you feel worse and can actually make you sicker!. Try to relax and think positive thoughts!.

Try not to worry i had a lump on my neck which was swollen due to getting bitten by a tick!. It really worried me but then ended up being nothing!. I know its hard to do but try not to worry and just think if it is anything you went to the doc early and it will be sorted!. Good luck:)Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's only on one side and has not gone down, it could be a swollen lymph node!. That can be attributed to many things, but the only way for them to tell what is wrong is to look with an ultrasound!. To tell you the truth, it sounds like MONO to me, and your blood tests should show if it is - I hope the doc tested for that!.
It doesnt' sound like cancer - I had thyroid cancer and got a big lymph node like the size of a ping pong ball!. I didn't really feel different and there was not change in my appearance!.
It could also be a normal thyroid problem - although that doesn't usually have any kind of bumps involved!. High or low thyroid production can affect your appetite, your skin, your energy, etc!.
Good luck - I'm sure it's mono or the flu or something!. Don't worry too much - there is nothing you can do until the tests are finished anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
