In no way according to my knowledge and experience {I'm a Labor & Delivery Room nurse}. The cause of autism is still unknown to this day. ADD is caused by a deficit in the production of the neurotransmissor dopamine, and has been proven to be of predominantly genetic {inherited} origin; in fact, 75% of ADD patients have at least one close family member with the same disorder.
