Question: I have a sore throat, help!!?
i get these dreaded sore throats often, specially when i inhale too much of smoke or dust!. it's terribly painful when i swallow things, i've had it since morning, and now i've caught a cold, i have a mild fever, body pain and tiredness!. is there any way to relieve myself from throat pain !? In the vast majority of cases, a sore throat cased by a virus infection need only be treated with paracetamol (eg Calpol, Panadol) to bring the temperature down!.
In a small minority of patients, a sore throat caused by bacteria is treated with penicillin, or erythromycin (eg Erythroped) in cases of penicillin allergy!.
The symptoms of a sore throat can be relieved by using over-the-counter medicines, such as sprays containing antiseptics and anaesthetics to numb the sore area, or antiseptic gargles!. These can be bought without a prescription and your doctor or pharmacist will be able to advise you about them!. Good Luck!

Yes there is a bug going around again, I've spoken to a few people with it and my sister has had it last week!.
The doctors won't give out anything because it's being passed on!.

You can gargle with warm salty water every chance you get, and it will relieve the pain and heal a sore throat (unless its a serious case, like strep or something)!. If your fever persists, I would go to the doc though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
