What acne solution will help me?!

Question: What acne solution will help me!?
It runs in my family to have acne as an adolescent, my mother, father, and sisters all had it!. They also tend to have skin that is on the oily side!.

About every other week, I have a breakout!. Most of the time I'll get 1 or 2 of the huge, under-the-skin pimples, but once in a while i'll get 4-6 little red ones!. So far, I haven't found anything that works that well!.

What i used to do was start by washing my face with philosophy face wash, and once a week the philosophy exfoliating face wash!. Then, I applied Clearasil acne control treatment (10% Benzoyl Peroxide) on the pimples (doesn't work on the under-the-skin ones) which i left on overnight!. This was generally slow and took several weeks to treat so i tried something else that worked better!.

I switched to Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash (2% Salicylic Acid) and instead of using Benzoyl Peroxide cream for spot treatment, i use toothpaste and leave it on overnight!. After 2 days of that, i use Neosporin for the following 2 nights!. This method works great but leaves my skin very dried out afterward!.

Do you have any suggestions on regiments that will be more efficient and less damaging!. i'm not into all-natural concoctions; i'll use anything, meant for the skin or not, that clears it up quicklyWww@Answer-Health@Com

Honestly, I don't openly admit to this but after having acne for over a decade I think I know the answer!.

You have to first drop soda and chocolate from your diet!. Don't listen to people when they say it doesn't make a difference, because it does!. You'll notice it, seriously, in the first week or so!.

Get plenty of sunshine!. If you can even use a tanning bed!. Don't abuse it like burn yourself or whatever, but the sunlight helps to dry out the oil I found out!. Plus if you get a little red it will make the acne you do have seem a little less obvious!.

In the morning and in the evening, wash your face with really hot water!. Use plain white Dove soap to wash and then pat dry with a towel!. You say you use the Clearasil Acne Control!? Awesome!! Put that on in the evening!. For the under-the-skinsies, put a little extra on and in a few hours it should tone down a little!.

I don't reccomend Neutrogena though, anything, because it just made me oilier!.

Good luck, have lots of faith though, because it really does work! Drink lots of water too!. Say some prayers!. God bless:)Www@Answer-Health@Com

All of the products you are using are drying out your skin making it produce more oil!. You need a good oil free moisturizer!. Neutrogena is great!. Also the Clean&Clear advantage kit is a good one!. You can get it at walmart!. Your skin is oily because it needs moisture!. Clean & clear also has a really good moisturizer!. Remember to look at the labels and make sure all the products you are using are oil free!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hi there
i had really bad acne for years as a teenager, i'm 20 now and my face has cleared right up!. I had the 'under the skin' pimples, they are called 'cystic acne'!. I tried heaps of stuff and nothing really worked for me so i went to my doctor!. There are prescription creams that are very strong that you can use, they worked a little for me, but eventually i was put onto Roaccutane, which is a vitamin A pill!. It stops your skin from producing so much oil, and therefore there's less oil for bacteria to grow in and cause pimples!. They only let people with really bad acne go on this thought, because there are some pretty serious potential side effects!. I think you should go to your doctor, they will be able to help you find something thats right for your type of skin, but just be assured there is something out there that can help!Www@Answer-Health@Com
