Dont know what it means,but when my daughter was 3 she had sleep apnoea also,and snored also!.
They prescribed Rhinocort and in a few days she got better!.
She will be 13 in November and it has never hapended again!.

Hypertrophy means they are enlarged!. It is common and relieved by an adenoidectomy!. It used to be very common to have tonsils and adenoids removed in children!. Did you doctor recommend removing the adenoids!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will probaly be referred to an ear nose and throat specialist!. This is a mass in the upper airway that is obstructing the flow, most likely from infection of the tonsils of the pahrynx!. The specialist will tell you what is the treatment!.
