Why won't my Doctor prescribe Ambien for my insomnia ?!
Question: Why won't my Doctor prescribe Ambien for my insomnia !?
He would rather give me three zanax a day and 100mg of zoloft!.!.!.!.I would rather take one pill than 4 but I like to think he knows what he is doing!.!.!.Does he!?
I have been prescribed Ambien before and it puts me to sleep and I wake up refreshed!. Wouldn't it be best for my body to take one pill over 4 pills daily !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would question that too!. I have been taking Ambien for over 10 years!. I also take 1 Lorazepam (generic Ativan) in the middle of the night!. My doc wouldn't prescribe Xanax (too addictive)!.

Ambien tend to stay in the body past nighttime, causing daytime sleepiness, forgetfulness, and confusion!.
If you have taken a benzodiazepine for more than four weeks, do not stop taking the drug suddenly!.
It is important to work with your physician to taper off the drug gradually to avoid potentially dangerous withdrawal symptoms!.
Symptoms of withdrawal can include anxiety, irritability, panic, insomnia nausea, headache, impaired concentration, memory loss, depression, extreme sensitivity to the environment, seizures, hallucinations and paranoia!.
Another thing to consider is that sleep inducing medication can sometimes work too well, meaning that daytime drowsiness may occur when used!. And in some instances, it can also cause blurred vision, dizziness, or even dry mouth!.

well i have taken ambien and it does put you right to sleep but it is really easy to get addicted to it and you seem like you are having aprob with him switching it so in my opioion your doctor knows what he is doing bc he is only doing it for you and most likly he will change it again after awhile so you dont get addictive to them i totally understand only wonting to take one a day thats understandable but would you rather get addictive to themWww@Answer-Health@Com
Well, it would be fine if you take ambien 1 pill just before going to sleep but you should be aware of the adverse drug effects and never combined this drug with other insomnia medication!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
