Is very common!. Personally i would not be concerned about passing this on to your 7 month old!. The reason i say this is because if it is not you that gives it to your son it is probably going to be another child/aunty/uncle/cousin/friend that gives it to him!.
HSV1 is not dangerous, more just annoying!. This is an unnecessary worry!.
You can pass this virus to anyone even if you do not show symptoms!. If the world was worried about parent passing on HSV1 to there children, then they would make it mandatory that all parents provide a blood sample to see if they test positive for it!.
Now that sounds crazy doesn't it!? Having to provide a blood sample!.!.!. well that is exactly it, it is crazy to worry about this!.

Yes, it is easier for kids to catch it because their immune systems aren't fully developed!. If you have it and you are asking this question, odds are you gave it to your kid!.

If you have open sores and make contact with another you can transmit it!. Best to not do so for around 1 week after to ensure not passing it along!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
