Answers:
She needs lots of rest!. There is no specific treatment for glandular fever, also known as infectious mononucleosis, and caused by the Epstein-Barr virus!. Antibiotics are not helpful, as this is a virus infection!. In fact there is one antibiotic, ampicillin, which is more likely to cause a rash if given to people with glandular fever!. She may need pain medication or anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen!. Hot drinks can help relieve the sore throat!. She should drink plenty of fluids!.
