I have a really bad cough?!
Question: I have a really bad cough!?
I've had a cough for about a month!. The doctor said it was bronchitis and I've been taking medication for about a week and haven't really seen improvement!. My main worry is that my throat gets full of phlegm and I basically choke!. I usually throw up and make painful wheezing breaths in order to breathe again!. It only lasts a few minutes, but sometimes it feels like it's not going to stop!. My chest hurts like hell afterwards!. Any ideas what's wrong!? ^_^Www@Answer-Health@Com

It might be bronchitis, or it might be pneumonia!. That does sound unpleasant!
Tell your doctor that the medicine isn't helping and suggest he check you over better!. If he doesn't want to, find a doc who's interested in finding out what's really wrong with you!.
Meanwhile, try drinking a lot of liquid, gargling with salt water, and using steam to try to loosen that phlegm in your throat!.

I would get a chest xray if you do not get better!. It could be pnemonia!. You may also need prednisone or an albuterol inhaler to help your breathing and to get rid of the wheezing!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
