What medication is good for Crohn's disease?!

Question: What medication is good for Crohn's disease!?
If I've failed Remicade and Humaria, what would you suggest trying next!? I am hoping to avoid surgery and I don't want to go back on high dose steroids either!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Well I think you start with 5ASAs then move up to steroids (budesodine) and then to a 6mp and finally biologics like Remicade, Humaria and Cimzia!. There is a new one that is not an anti-TNF called Tysabri!. Also I learned about non pharmacological treatments using pigworms!. The science behind this is very interesting and the patients who have tried it have gone into full remission and with little to no side effects!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

6MP is pretty good but you are probably already on that!.

I was against surgery too!.!.!.faught it like tooth and nail!. However, I wasn't having any luck either with meds so I went ahead with the surgery!. Best decision I ever made!. I have my life back now!. Since surgery, I am in remission, got married, and expecting a child by Thanksgiving!.

You could also try the alternative medicine approach!. However, sometimes these involve major lifestyle changes that can get expensive!. They have worked for a few but failed for a few also!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm currently on Azathioprine and Pentasa!. They are working for me, but everyone is different!. Ask your doc about them!.

I don't want to go back to lots of steroids either!. So hopfully, the Azathioprine will carry on working!. Doc said surgery is next if these fail so fingers crossed :o)Www@Answer-Health@Com
