For anyone who has had their gall bladder removed?!

Question: For anyone who has had their gall bladder removed!?
i had mine removed in jan this year!. all was well at the time the op was fine and i was out the same day adn shopping within 3 days however, a couple of days after the op my stomach swelled and i looked 7 months pregnant!. i assumed it was to do with the op!.
but now 9 months on, it still swells every now and again and is hard and painful!. my nephew even asked me if i was pregnant again!.
i was also told i could resume a normal diet but if i eat anything vaguely high in fat i end up in pain, just like before i had the op!. has anyone else had anything like this after their op!?

mine was done by keyhole if that makes a differenceWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Personally, as a person who has had their gall bladder removed by keyhole surgery, I believe you have been given the wrong advice about your diet!. When discharged from an overnight stay in hospital, I was given a list of foods which I could eat and a list of foods to steer clear of!.!.!.!.!.!.fatty foods was definitely a NO, NO!.
The swelling of the stomach is caused by not eating at regular intervals!. If you go too long between meals, it causes wind to accumulate in the stomach!.
My advice is for you to make an appointment with the Practise Nurse at your health centre to discuss the dietary programme!.
Good luck ! hope everything is OK soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't have personal experience of this but my friend (a nurse) had her's removed about 3 years ago!. She still suffers if she eats fatty foods and ends up in the loo soon after eating!. It can make eating out really uncomfortable for her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

mine was taken out as a precaution when i had a gastric bypass to lose weight!.i have to admit i never have had any problems with it!.perhaps you should see your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
