Answers:

squamous cells whcih are flat shaped as seen in the microscope make up the epithelium lining of the outermost layer of our skin on the outside as well the mucosal lining in the inside such as your blood vessels or areas of your genitourinary tract organs. You might see some of these cells in certain laboratories requested (if you have a disease condition) such as gram staining of skin lesions and urine exam. It is often interpreted as having poor collection of the specimen meaning to say for repeat collection/ examination.
